The Application API provides endpoints for application-level customization and extensions. These APIs are designed to help you tailor the platform to your community’s unique needs, beyond core system functions or integrations.

With the Application API, you can:

Manage custom user fields — define, update, and remove fields that extend user profiles.

Track field history and changes — retrieve updates over time for auditing or analytics.

Authentication: Application endpoints use a Bearer token, which can be generated in Community Settings. Each token comes with its own permission set, allowing fine-grained control over what an integration can or cannot do.
